Two of the biggest media franchises of the 21st century, the Hunger Games and Harry Potter – are back in the mid-2020s with new material, but the Hunger Games is already ahead of Harry Potter. Suzanne Collins is releasing a new Hunger Games book called Reaping On The Reaping in March 2025. Like all the novels that came before that, The Reaping’s Sunrise is scheduled to premiere in late 2026. Meanwhile, Harry and Harry Potter have become television series.

According to the deadline, upcoming Harry Potter TV shows will begin production in the summer of 2025, preparing for the expected release dates for the second half of 2026/early 2027.

Harry Potter (TV show) serves as a reboot of the original film, based on a seven-volume series.
