Harry Potter enthusiasts have learned from design studio Minarima, which produced the first three books in the acclaimed Interactive Illustration Edition series (available on Amazon), that they were involved in creating many of the graphic design elements seen in the Harry Potter films. However, it was announced that their participation would end with Book 3, as noted in a statement made last year:

“Many of you inquired about the timing of the Minarima illustrated edition of ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.’ We would like to inform our readers that Studio Minarima has not been commissioned to illustrate the fourth Harry Potter book and will not continue to be involved in the series,” the statement said.

“It has been a privilege to reimagine JK Rowling’s first three Harry Potter books in our illustrated fairy tale style, touching the hearts of fans around the world. We cherish the relationships we’ve built with readers and publishers globally and appreciate the opportunity to connect with so many collectors of these editions at events. We are grateful for the joy you found in our work as much as we enjoyed creating it.” – Mirafora Mina, Eduardo Lima, and the Minalima team.

With that in mind, if you own the first three editions but choose to discontinue the series, note that it will branch off with this new edition of “Goblet of Fire.” It’s disappointing that Minarima couldn’t complete their work. You can find Minalima Editions on Amazon, where they’re currently discounted, and we anticipate that the upcoming “Goblet of Fire” Edition will also see significant discounts before its October release. Customers who pre-order will automatically receive the best price available.
