Watson, who brought the character Hermione Granger to life in the Harry Potter series, is celebrated for embodying a strong, intelligent role model for a generation of girls. During her recent interviews, Watson clarified her stance on avoiding drugs and nude scenes, expressing that she doesn’t want to shed Hermione’s identity. “I don’t want to undress or compromise my character to move on,” she remarked, acknowledging her apprehension about embarking on roles that might diverge from Hermione. She expressed satisfaction with her representation of the character.
Previously, Watson stated that she would consider taking on roles that involve nudity if they are critical to the character’s depth and the story. “Since I was 16, I’ve said that I’m an actress, and if it serves the character and storyline, I’m open to it,” she told the Scots.
