His son, Dylan, is currently dealing with a health issue that was diagnosed some years ago.

### What do you know about Drew’s Alzheimer’s Disease Diagnosis?

Details about this remarkable and dedicated artist have been shared, with the initial announcement made on Drew’s Instagram. The post revealed that “a few years ago, Drew was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.” Dylan mentioned that he is experiencing the “early stage (a) slow progression of forgetting,” noting that “neurotransmitters can no longer communicate thoughts…forgetting is often associated with brain malfunctions.”

Dylan expressed empathy for those suffering from Alzheimer’s, highlighting the pain of losing memories accumulated over a lifetime. Drew is following medical advice in dealing with his illness, though it poses a challenge for the family.

Dylan encourages his followers, stating, “He’s heard all the comments you shared here…it gives him motivation.” He urges people to “keep sharing your thoughts and experiences to help him smile during these tough times.” He mentions the support from a 60-year marriage that helps in retaining memories but emphasizes the importance of continuing to appreciate Drew’s work.

It’s hard to envision a Harry Potter poster without recognizing Drew’s creative contributions. In the artwork, Daniel Radcliffe’s Harry Potter gazes directly at us, with Hermione at his side and Ron accompanying him. Dumbledore is shown in the background, while Draco Malfoy and Severus Snape are engaged in the scene. Neville is positioned on the far left, and Hagrid stands protectively in front. Although Griphook may be overlooked, he is included in this iconic ensemble. Additionally, there’s a memorable depiction of the Dursleys alongside Hedwig, all set against the backdrop of Hogwarts. Thanks to Drew, this singular poster encapsulates our memories of entering the magical world of Harry Potter.

As Drew and his family navigate through this battle, we extend our best wishes and continue to cherish his legacy.
