Whether you like it or not, Harry Potter Fever is once again wiping out Hollywood – this time thanks to the famous TV series that will take over screens for 10 years.

This new series is another direct adaptation of JK Rowling’s book franchise, each book being made up of one season. This means that a new batch of actors will portray the roles previously played by stars such as Daniel Radcliffe, Alan Rickman and Maggie Smith.

The casting call for the three Young Reed, which opened in September 2024, is set to become famous after being cast in the roles of Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.

However, the famous actor is being scouted for older characters. No casting has been confirmed, but the rumor factory is on Overdrive. The actor reportedly has been promoted for the show’s role.

Albus Dumbledore

It was reported on Wednesday (February 12th) that John Lithgow had undergone final consultations to play the role of Hogwarts Principal Albus Dumbledore. If confirmed, this could mean that Mark Rylance, who was rumored to be the producer’s favorite, turned down the role.

Lithgow’s casting will come after Gary Oldman, who played Harry Potter’s Godfather Sirius Black in the original film series, also said he would be playing the role. Another name banded around is Mark Strong.

When I asked Jared Harris, son of independent Dumbledore star Richard Harris, he shared a less-used response than instantaneously if he was going to attend the show.

Severus Snape

Other actors rumored to play the character include London gangster star Lazarus Project and a capture reportedly being in the running of Severus Snape. Essiedu has carved himself out as one of the most attractive British upstarts in recent years, offering outstanding turns on both screen and stage (Old Vic’s number and Lucy Prebble’s The Effect at the National Theers.) Essiedu has committed to such a long-term series. Think about the role he has to turn down! -But he will definitely make a selection familiar to Potter’s best characters.

Minerva McGonagall

Reportedly, the name of the Transformation Professor’s contest played by the late Dam Maggie Smith makes enough sense to think of it. Irish star Sharon Hogan, star and creator of Bad Sisters, is said to be his favorite to play the role. However, another casting rumour is Oscar-nominated star Rachel Weisse. It appears that Rachel Weisse’s casting is trying to secure a recognizable name.

Rubeus Hagrid

The strangest casting rumours are actor and writer Brett Goldstein, whose profiles have risen considerably in recent years thanks to the success of Apple TV+ Comedies Ted Lasso and Shrinking. Reports say Goldstein is lined up to play Rubeus Hagrid, the cute gamekeeper played by the late Robbie Coltrane in the original franchise.

Aunt Petunia Darthley

Phoebe Waller-Bridge should be working on a bunch of new titles for Prime videos, but it appears that he will need to find time to protect himself in the wizard world. According to insider Daniel Lupuk, the Fleabag Star is offered the role of Potter’s malicious aunt, played in the Fiona Shaw film.

Lord Voldemort

The new Harry Potter show will require a new Voldemort. And it is claimed that Oscar winner Chillian Murphy is looking at the role. The rumors became so enthusiastic that former Voldemort star Ralph Fiennes was asked for his views on whether Murphy was a good successor. That’s a great suggestion. However, since then, it has been allegedly been lined up to play Professor Quirrell in the first season of the show, not Voldemort.

Sirius Black

Given that he won’t appear in book 3, there’s less pressure to cast Sirius Black. In other words, his debut on the show has come a long way. However, this does not stop speculation that Ben Burns will take on the role of Harry’s Godfather.

The Chronicle of Narnia and Shadow and Bone alumni told us rumors about the magazine. Potter, but now it’s been going on for so long, so I’m the age of the actual character in the book. They are books I love, and at least half of my career is based on literary adaptations I love. (Harry Potter) I don’t think there’s a reason why that’s not the case, but I haven’t told anyone yet. ”

Molly Weasley/Olivander

Those claiming to be Reddit’s TV insider have allegedly contacted both Jessica Hines and Peter Capaldi regarding short-term availability for filming the show, which will be held in the summer of 2026. . It is speculated that Jessica Hines could play the role of Molly Weasley’s Julie Walters, but former Doctor Who Peter Capaldi faces off against Olivander, the wandmaker played by John Hart in the film I was able to do it.
