The upcoming Warner Bros. Harry Potter TV series has officially cast Nick Frost as Hagrid, having finalized the agreement. He will be joining John Lithgow, who takes on the role of Dumbledore. The current cast also includes Paapa Ecied as Professor Severus Snape and Janet McTier as Professor Minerva McGonagall.

Nick Frost, a British actor known for roles in “Shaun of the Dead,” “The End of the World,” “Truth Seekers,” and “Badlands,” recently lent his voice to SM 33 in Disney’s “Skeleton Crew” Star Wars series. The character Hagrid was originally portrayed by Robbie Coltrane, who sadly passed away in 2022 at the age of 72.

### Who is Hagrid?

Rubeus Hagrid is a cherished character from J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series. He serves as the Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and later becomes a professor of magical creatures.
