It is important to remember the ongoing, controversial statements by the creators of the Harry Potter franchise. CBR supports the efforts of industry experts in the wider world of Harry Potter, which fans know and love, as well as the Harry Potter that fans have adopted as their own. Here you can find ongoing coverage of CBR’s Rowling.

The Harry Potter franchise has been one of the most popular phenomena of the past few decades. It began a revolution in young adult literature, brought fantasy back to mainstream, reading thousands of children from young ages. Of course, films are just as loved. And while it’s a pretty good adaptation, it’s far from perfect.

The Harry Potter world is such a complex universe that the film’s saga was skated several times when representing the big screen. From the details that are meaningless to Potterverse lore, to the character, to the action wizards and witches, these mistakes may be small, but true fans quickly realised.

    Harry’s eyes are not green

Although Harry grew up without his parents, it is fairly common for adults to compare him to a potter, as many wizards and witches around him knew them. Everyone says the same thing, he’s the same as James, but he has Lily’s green eyes. This is a central element of Harry’s characterization in the book, and readers cannot forget it. Interestingly, the film couldn’t include this detail.

The characterization crew had actually planned that Daniel Radcliffe would use green contact lenses for this role. However, Radcliffe was allergic to them, which became a health problem. It was a very small detail in the end, so it really didn’t affect his amazing performance as Harry. Only those who read the book and realised that his eyes were actually blue.

One of Harry Potter’s amazing magical items in many of the nations is the Weasley watch. This is a magical version of a regular clock with each family holding hands. Instead of the hour numbers, the clock tells you where each member is, including home, school, work, travel, lost, lost, prison, fatal danger, and more.

Harry Potter is Lord Voldemort for the Destiny of Harry Potter's World.

The Harry Potter film did an amazing job bringing iconic characters to life, but many details only make sense when people read the book.

The film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Secret Chamber added several locations, including “Quidditch,” “Garden,” and “Dentist,” in “The Weiride One.” Of course, Saga fans quickly realized this was pointless. There are no dentists in the world of wizards. In fact, Professor Slagoon doesn’t know what these are, according to his conversation with Hermione at the Slug Club. Adding this little detail, the film writers forgot to consider many differences between muggles and wizards.

The fate of Elder Wand has infuriated many fans

Harry Potter broke the elder's wand with the deathly halloween

When Harry finally acquires Harry Potter’s Elder Wand and Deathly Hallows, he uses this wand to hold his own wand. He then places it in Dumbledore’s grave – killing Director Hogwarts and his powers, as he is the last user of Wands. In the film, instead, he snaps it in half so that no one else has that power. But he never corrects his wand before doing so.

Fans weren’t keen on him snapping his wand, but at least this can be justified by looking at this item as a minor phor for his journey. What really shatters the fandom’s gear is that Harry didn’t repair his wand before doing this. Does he have a new wand or how did he fix it in the first place? Harry’s wand is, in a sense, a testament to his resilience, so it makes no sense to not have an answer in this respect.

Harry was reckless in front of the Muggle.

Dimentor attacks Dudley in the order of Harry Potter and Phoenix.

With the beginnings of Harry Potter and the order of Phoenix, Harry trips over Dudley and his friends in the park. When his cousin begins to bully him, Harry threatens him, reveals his magic wand and places it around Dudley’s neck as a warning. Everyone laughs at him because they don’t know the truth behind it. However, viewers familiar with the book know that this is pointless.

After a few scenes, Harry gets in trouble because he actually uses magic other than Hogwarts. This is a rule he already knows quite well, as he gets into trouble during the prisoners of Azkaban. What’s more, the magical world is particularly cautious about revealing itself to the muggles. With this in mind, it makes no sense to carelessly reveal his wand when Dudley threatens him.

Sirius’ Burn to Snape was meaningless

In Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban, while Severus Snape finally screams at Sirius, he urges him to leave to “play with the chemistry set.” This is a sarcastic joke about certain skills in Snape potions. Sirius is decreasing, with “less than other types of magic.” However, considering the background of both characters, the comments are pointless.

    The problematic Harry Potter scene

Every franchise has problematic scenes, but surprisingly, there are more than a few for Harry Potter fans.

Sirius was a pure blood wizard who spent his whole life in the wizard world, and ultimately lived in Azkaban without contact with the muggle (or really). With this in mind, it is impossible for him to know what a “chemical set” is. After all, chemistry does not exist in the wizard’s world.

Hogwarts is not the only mixed school in Europe

Boe the Baton arrives at Harry Potter's Hogwarts and the Goblet of Fire.

As part of the Triwizard Tournament celebration, Hogwarts opens the doors to two other magic schools in Europe. Beau Cubatons Academy, the Southern France and the Dermstrand Institute, was founded in Bulgaria. Each school has a very special aesthetic, and the film clearly suggests that while Durmstrang only has male students, Beauxbatons is an all-girl school.

This was clearly a decision to write the film. Because it adds a nice touch to the big contrast between both homes. However, the books do not follow the same pattern. Fire’s goblets may not have much focus on Beauxbatons and Durmstrang beyond the champions, but they definitely include boys from French schools and female students from Northern Europe.

Hermione used magic twice outside of Hogwarts without results

Hermione's wand points to Harry Potter's glasses while she uses them "Oculus Reparo".

When Harry and Ron meet Hermione for the first time at the Hogwarts Express, Hermione boasts a bit about studying her magical book. She then uses “Oculus Reparo” to fix Harry’s glasses. At Harry Potter and the Secret Chamber of Commerce, Harry escapes the Alley of Notukurun before returning to the Alley of Diagon. Here, Hermione notices his broken glasses and uses “Oculus Reparo” on him again.

In both scenes, Hermione opposes the rules that are most important to minors in the Wizard’s world. There is no magic outside Hogwarts. The book respects this, but the film ignored it. Fans who read the book know that it’s Mr. Wheelie who fixes Harry’s glasses in the Diagon alley, not Hermione. It makes no sense that Harry went to trial for his actions when he was 15, but Hermione became magical even before joining one class at Hogwarts when he was 11. I did.

James and Lily were kids of their own

James and Lily dance in an old photo of Harry Potter.

With Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Harry is able to see his parents again in 11 years, thanks to the air-in mirror. This magical mirror shows its users “the most hopeless desire of their minds,” so it makes sense that Harry sees himself along with his parents James and Lily.

    Features Wizard Crimes Against Muggles

Muggles have little or no defense against the simplest spells. There are laws protecting muggles, but the wizard has left a lot.

Rollins and Somerville were looking for a part entirely for an 11-year-old middle-aged couple, but in reality they weren’t over 22. Harry imagined them as if he saw them in the only photo he had, so they should have been college students, not mature adults. The photos were very misleading about their age and reduced the true tragic nature of their early death.

The absence of Ludo Bagman in the film left a prophecy for the series

    Weasley Wizard wheezed

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire introduced Ludo Bagman, a former Quidditch player with careless attitude and gambling addiction and Ministry of Magic employee. The Bugman scams Weasley twins after paying with Leprechaun Gold with them. This allowed Harry to give the twins money for the Triwizard tournament, allowing them to start a business, Wizard Weasley.

The movie doesn’t include a bugman, so the twins weren’t scamed, so they urged Harry to give him money. Even if that was the case, it never got covered in the film. With this in mind, when the twins open a store, viewers simply don’t know where the money for the initial investment came from, unless they’re reading the book.

Harry casually uses magic before inflating his aunt’s Marge.

When Uncle Vernon’s horrible sister, Aunt Margie, visits between Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban, Harry ends up blowing her up like a balloon from rage. Fearing his own future, Harry flees to the alleys of the Diagon and realizes that using magic as a minor wizard outside Hogwarts has serious legal consequences.

Ironically, the film itself uses magic with Harry before inflating Marge. In the first scene of Azkaban’s Prisoner, Harry can be seen practicing the spell under his sheet as if he was doing summer homework. This makes the characters relevant, but meaningless. Hogwarts never allowed thousands of minor wizards to work on their magicians.
