Jason Isaacs, best known for his role as Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter film, recently revealed that he is in the loop on some of Max’s upcoming Harry Potter series casting decisions . The full cast has not yet been officially announced, but Isaacs hinted that the chosen actor was first class.
“Yeah, I know who they’re casting. They’re incredible actors,” Isaacs said in an interview with Screenland. He didn’t hand out names, but “I know some of them, yeah, and they’re incredible actors.” His comments speak to fans, but Warner Bros. And Max has not yet announced the official casting.
Although Isaacs did not share the name, some familiar faces have been rumored about their important roles. John Lithgow is reportedly in discussion to play Hogwarts principal Albus Dumbledore, while Paapa Eciedu is the role of Severus Snape, a potion professor known for his complicated stories. It is said that they are discussing the following.
However, rumors about these castings have not yet been confirmed. The main roles of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley are still a mystery. Fans have speculated who might play the famous trio, but for now nothing is final.
Known for his succession and Game of Thrones work, Mark Mylod is the showrunner of the Harry Potter series. Isaacs praised Mylod for his talent and leadership.
“It’s done by the same people who did the film, and Mark Mirod is doing it. “I worked with him for Entourage years ago, and he’s been doing it for a lot of games. We did Thrones. We inherited too. It’s an incredibly talented guy and they don’t need advice from me.”
Not only is MyLod a showrunner, but he is also the series’ executive producer and writer. He works with Francesca Gardiner, known for writing about his dark material.
JK Rowling, author of Harry Potter Books, produces the series through his company’s Brontë films and television. She was joined by Neil Blair, Ruth Kenley Letts and David Heyman. Heyman was a key producer of the original film franchise.
