The artist added a magical touch to use the tea bag by drawing pictures inspired by Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings.
Caroline West, 50, from Waterlooville, Hampshire, has been drawing on used tea bags since August 2023 as a way to change what is commonly thrown away as “beautiful.”
Wanting to capture the enchantment that many people feel when reading or watching fantasy, she has created a “symbolic” character, location, moment and structure both Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings From there, I decided to draw on her unique choice canvas.
“I’m an avid reader and I’m so inspired by the way storytellers can weave the whole world into a book, so I just wanted to see if I could capture that feeling in miniatures with tea bags. “Mrs. West said. PA Newspaper.

“The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter are just iconic, so I wanted to do a limited edition collection of fan art.”
For the Harry Potter series, Mrs. West has created seven painted tea bags featuring memorable aspects of the JK Rolling Fantasy Book series, including the Hogwarts Express, Sorting Hats and Hogwarts.

Her Lord of the Rings tea bags (even seven) are walking through the mountains, Gollum, Dragon Eyes, silhouetted eyes of characters from the fantasy series.
It took about a few hours to make each painted tea bag and the process began after the used Yorkshire tea bags had dried.

She cut them out, discarded all the tea and ironed them flat.
I then recorded the edges on tape, placed the tea bag on backing paper, applied base layers, and created various scenes using acrylic paint.

She said she thinks the series is very popular to this day, as it provides a sense of “escapism” from the “h-fuss” of everyday life.
“I think reading books and watching movies is just a way to get out of normal everyday life and get away from a completely different world where anything is possible,” she said.

“I grew up reading Lord of the Rings as a teenager, so it’s also nostalgic.”
Her Lord of the Rings Tea Bags are on sale and customers are filled with joy about her purchase.

Mrs. West added: “The most satisfying part about being an artist is what makes them happy and what they love.
“I think people are surprised to see that they’re in tea bags. I think it really captures people’s imagination.”
