Producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman, known for their work on Spider-Man and Harry Potter, are set to collaborate on the next James Bond film at Amazon MGM Studios.
This follows an agreement in which Eon Productions, led by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, became co-owners alongside Amazon MGM Studios after Amazon assumed creative control of the prominent UK spy franchise in February. Eon Productions has been behind the franchise since Albert ‘Cubby’ Broccoli’s passing.
The updated creative control arrangement suggests a fresh direction for Bond, poised to embark on a new journey in style.
While the details of this new vision are still undefined, the producers have expressed their commitment to maintaining Bond’s traditional spirit and are thrilled to continue the franchise.
In their joint statement about producing the upcoming film, Pascal and Heyman remarked:
“We are honored to follow in Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson’s footsteps.”

Pascal, recognized for her recent Spider-Man films, is also engaged in the project Hale Mary directed by Christopher Miller and featuring Ryan Gosling, alongside her work at Amazon MGM Studios.
In addition, she is producing The Challenger directed by Luca Guadagnino and is involved in the Narnia project with Mark Gordon, which Greta Gerwig is directing for Netflix.
Heyman has been involved in all eight films in the Harry Potter franchise, as well as the three Fantastic Beasts movies, and has worked on projects such as Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Paddington films.
Currently, he is in pre-production for the Harry Potter TV series and in post-production for Kazuo Ishiguro’s Clara and the Sun, directed by Taika Waititi and featuring Jenna Ortega and Amy Adams.

“Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson are making the most of their responsibilities and are closely involved in all creative decisions regarding James Bond,” stated Courtenay Valenti, film director at Amazon MGM Studios.
“Amy Pascal and David Heyman are esteemed producers who have successfully developed and managed major film franchises, achieving both commercial success and critical acclaim. We are excited to collaborate with them on the next chapter of James Bond and to offer captivating storytelling that honors this beloved character’s legacy.”
Who will be the next James Bond?
Currently, Henry Cavill is favored to take over as the next James Bond following Daniel Craig’s exit after his final film, No Time to Die.
The current odds are as follows:
Henry Cavill 6/4
Aaron Taylor Johnson 5/1
James Norton 8/1
Harris Dickinson 9/1
Regé-Jean Page 12/1
Josh O’Connor 12/1
Richard Madden 14/1
Jack Loudon 14/1
Paul Mescal 18/1
Callum Turner 18/1
Pascal produces films under Pascal Pictures, while Heyman operates through his production company, Heyday Films.
This development follows reports that future Bond movies will be produced swiftly, with Amazon aiming for a theatrical release by late 2027.
According to sources, the “writer’s” room has been formed to expedite the return on investment.
