This is quite disheartening. When I stumbled upon this story, I was intrigued by the potential family ties within the Harry Potter universe that I might have overlooked. I sincerely hope I haven’t retained any new information about it. It’s evident that nearly everyone in the wizarding world is connected in some way. Let me highlight a few significant relationships.
Arthur Weasley’s mother, Cedrera, was married to Septimus Weasley, yet Cedrera’s maiden name was… Black. This means Arthur is related to Sirius, making them second cousins, although it appears that this connection has been overlooked at times. Harry Potter will make a comeback with the upcoming HBO series set to premiere next year.
There’s also a link between Molly and Sirius; Sirius’s aunt Lucretia married Molly’s uncle, Ignatius Prewett, creating a familial bond through marriage. The Black family has ties to both the Potters and the Malfoys as well. Drea Black was married to Charles Potter. Additionally, Cygnus Black married Drusella Rossier, and together they had two daughters, Bellatrix and Narcissa. Bellatrix is known as Lestrange after marrying Rodolphus Lestrange and losing her maiden name, while Narcissa married Lucius Malfoy.
It’s also important to mention that Kalidra Black was married to Harfan Longbottom. Given all this, it suggests that nearly all prominent magical families are interconnected. Oh, but it gets even more complicated: if Arthur is Sirius’s second cousin once removed, and Molly is Sirius’s cousin by marriage, does that imply that Arthur and Molly are also related? This is too much to ponder any further.
